We have two types of coin mechs available. One is mechanical and the other electronic, either of which will bolt up to any arcade cabinet. The addition of a coin mech is a simple and relatively inexpensive way of providing your cabinet with that authentic arcade feel.
These are perfect for use in situations where a coin mech will not fit, or where you can't justify the additional cost. Simply wire the button's microswitch up to the same circuit you'd normally use on a coin mech, then all you do is press the button to register a coin drop.
We print the high resolution image onto adhesive vinyl and then attach it onto the coloured diffuser of our Rectangular Illuminated button, which is then backlit using a 12v COLOURED LED to give superior colour saturation. The end result is a button of striking appearance.
Due to demand these buttons are available in Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. A microswitch and coloured 12v LED are included with each button.
This model is a replica of the coin mech used in many old Australian arcade cabinets. It has universal mounting holes so installation is very simple. Mounting hardware is included.
The CM01 faceplate has a 29mm slot so it will accept coins up to that size. We can also supply units with smaller slots on special order. Internally this model can be adjusted for the height and width of the coin to be accepted and "out of the box" it is configured to accept an Australian 20c coin (same size as NZ 20c). If a coin is not of the acceptable size or gets caught in the mech there is an eject button that will cause the coin to drop into the reject slot.
A microswitch is included with this coin mech.

The CM02 is electronic and connects to 12V DC, which can be sourced from the JAMMA harness or direct from the power supply within the cabinet. If you are creating a MAME cabinet and using a PC instead, simply connect the unit to a spare 12V plug from within your PC.
This model also uses universal mounting holes and comes with all mounting hardware and wiring required for installation. It also accepts the JAMMA power plug which simplifies connection in JAMMA cabinets.
The CM02 can be adjusted to accept coins from 18mm to 32mm in diameter using a restrictor plate behind the faceplate which prevents coins that are too large from being inserted. Coin thicknesses can also be adjusted between 1.8mm and 3.0mm using a sensitivity screw on the rear of the unit.
Coin detection is done electronically, so once you connect up the supplied wiring harness all you do is insert a sample coin into a slider on the side of the unit and it is ready to go. The CM02 uses a 'Hall effect' type switch that detects the coin being inserted and determines if it should be accepted. This then triggers a gate to accept (or reject) the coin and sends a signal through another circuit to register a credit. No microswitch is required for credit detection.

This is our budget model coin mech, yet it still has all the features you will need. As with our other models, it has universal mounting holes and all mounting hardware is included.
The CM03 has a cast faceplate and the coin slot has a restrictor plate behind it that can be adjusted to accept coins between 19mm and 30mm in diameter. The internals of this model can also be adjusted for the height and width of the desired coin to be accepted. If a coin is not of the acceptable size or gets caught in the mech there is a reject button that will cause the coin to drop through its chassis and into the reject slot.
A microswitch is included with this coin mech.
